NOTE: This article contains changes called out by TSB# EL011-06.INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
Perform Initialization Procedure A if a NEW moon roof housing assembly has been installed on the vehicle.
Perform Initialization Procedure B if the moon roof glass has been refitted or the sub-assembly has been reinstalled.
NOTE:
- Do NOT switch any electrically powered systems ON or OFF during initialization.
- If electrical power fluctuates by 0.5V or more, initialization will fail.
- Permanent ECU damage will occur if power is disconnected while the moon roof motor is operating.
Initialization Procedure A:
1. Push and hold the "OPEN" switch until the moon roof glass reaches the full open position.
2. Push and hold the "CLOSE" switch until the moon roof glass reaches the full close position.
3. Push and hold the "TILT UP" switch until the moon roof glass reaches the full tilt up position.
4. Push and hold the "TILT DOWN" switch until the moon roof glass reaches the full closed position.
5. Confirm that the AUTO operation features work for open, close, tilt up, and tilt down.
Initialization Procedure B:
1. Push and hold the TILT UP" switch until the moon roof glass reaches the full tilt up position.
Once the moon roof glass is in the full tilt up position, release the TILT UP" switch.
2. Push and hold the "TILT UP" switch for approximately 11 seconds.
The moon roof glass will begin to move. Continue to hold the switch while the moon roof glass cycles through the entire range of positions, returns to the full close position, and stops.
3. Confirm that the AUTO operation features work for open, close, tilt up, and tilt down.
NOTE: Initialization Procedure B removes the ECU memory of the original sliding force curve and resets it to the latest sliding force curve. Failure to perform this procedure may result in glass reversal/kickback during operation.
