LIGHTING (EXT): HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)





(a) Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.
NOTICE: Do not touch the bulb glass.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER (for HID Headlight)





(a) Release the set spring as shown in the illustration.
(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 1 headlight back cover.
3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight)
(a) Remove the headlight gasket.
NOTICE: Do not reuse the removed headlight gasket. Be sure to install a new headlight gasket to prevent water ingress.

4. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)





(a) Turn the light control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and disconnect it.





(b) Release the set spring in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the discharge headlight bulb.
NOTICE: Do not touch the bulb glass.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB





(a) Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.
NOTICE: Do not touch the bulb glass.

6. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB





(a) Turn the front side marker light bulb and front side marker light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.
(b) Remove the front side marker light bulb from the front side marker light socket.
7. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB





(a) Turn the front turn signal light bulb and front turn signal light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.
(b) Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
8. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL ECU (for HID Headlight)





(a) Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.
(b) Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to release it.





(c) Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.
(d) Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.
(e) Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.





(f) Remove the 4 screws.





(g) Disconnect the connector and remove the light control ECU.
(h) Remove the headlight housing packing.





(i) Disengage the claw and grommet, and remove the headlight cord.
