INTRODUCTION:
Some 2009 - 2010 Matrix vehicles may exhibit a condition where water condensation drips from the dome lamp assembly. Use the following repair procedure to correct this condition.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the dome lamp assembly from the headliner.
For dome lamp and headliner removal instructions, Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

2. Place pieces of Foam (63355-12060 / 63356-12040) near the snap-fit positions of the dome lamp assembly cover as indicated in figures 1-4.

Overview of Foam

NOTE
- It may be necessary to cut the foam.
- Only if the foam is damaged or unusable, use the following dimensions and cut a NEW piece from the Interior Noise Kit (P/N 08231-00801).

















A. Install foam into the dome lamp assembly in the areas shown in Figure 3.

3. Remove headliner

Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

4. Wipe down the roof panel with a dry towel. Be sure to remove all moisture before sticking the roof headlining pad (felt) to the roof panel reinforcement sub-assembly.







5. Add Felt to the roof panel area:







A. Cut the piece of felt (63351-12080) into two equal pieces as indicated in figure 7.

Overall dimensions:
Length: 2000 mm (78.74 in.)
Width: 60 mm (2.36 in.)












B. Remove the release paper and stick the felt into the gap between the roof panel and the Roof Reinforcement as indicated in Figure 9. The felt will be placed along the cross bar on both edges.

6. Install the headliner assembly in the reverse order as removal.

7. Install the dome lamp assembly in the reverse order as removal.
