Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
AUDIO / VIDEO: REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.
1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Inspect the battery voltage.
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Refer to the DTC Check/Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
HINT
If the system cannot enter the diagnostic mode, inspect the AVC-LAN and all the components that connect to the AVC-LAN for short circuits and repair or replace the problem part AVC-LAN Circuitfor Navigation System, AVC-LAN Circuit for Audio and Visual System).

4. DTC CLEAR
(a) Clear the DTCs and finish the diagnostic mode.

The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

5. RECHECK FOR DTC
Result:

* If the system cannot enter diagnostic mode, inspect the AVC-LAN and all the components that connect to the AVC-LAN for short circuits.
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for diagnostic trouble codes. This is because the system stores past diagnostic trouble codes.
* Refer to the detailed description on the diagnostic screen as necessary Description and Operation.
* Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area code indicates.

6. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
(a) Find the output code in the diagnostic trouble code chart Rear Seat Entertainment System.

8. CHECK THE ECU TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT BASED ON THE MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
(a) Refer to the Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

9. CHECK THE CIRCUIT
(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.
