Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM (for Hatchback without VSC): PRECAUTION
CAUTION:
* The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source. If work is started within 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, the SRS may deploy.
* Never use a back-up power source (battery or other) to avoid clearing the system memory. The back-up power source may inadvertently power the SRS and cause it to deploy.
NOTICE:
* After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.
