Note:
^ When installing an exchange cylinder head with installed camshaft, lubricate the running contact surfaces the hydraulic lifters and camshaft cam surfaces before installing the cylinder head cover.
^ The plastic packing pieces for protecting the open valves must not be removed until immediately before installing the cylinder head.
^ If the cylinder head is replaced, all the coolant in the system must also be replaced.

2- To Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) heating element -N79-
3- Shaped hose
4- To intake manifold upper part
5- Seal
^ Replace
6- Sealing plug - 15 Nm
^ Replace
7- Cylinder head bolt
8- Connecting unions
9- 10 Nm
10- Seal
^ Replace
11- 20 Nm
12- Lifting eye
13- Cylinder head gasket
^ Replace
^ After replacing gasket replace entire amount of coolant in system
14- 15 Nm
15- 20 Nm
16- Rear toothed belt guard
17- Toothed belt
18- Cylinder head
19- Oil deflector
20- Cylinder head cover gasket
^ Replace if damaged
^ Coat cylinder head/bearing cap transition points with D 454 300 A2 before installing
21- Cylinder head cover
^ With cable guide
22- 10 Nm
23- Seal

Maximum permissible distortion: 0.1 mm
