Technical Background
In some cases the intake tubes may be installed incorrectly causing the sealing rings to be twisted or damaged.

Production Solution
Optimize assembly sequence in production.

Service
- Inspect the charge air system for leaks.
- Inspect for damage to the charge air hoses.
- Inspect quick connect couplers of the charge air hoses to verify they are properly seated.
- Inspect for damage to the sealing rings of the quick connect couplers.

If leakage is found at the quick connect coupler, but no damage is found:
- Clean the area.
- Replace the quick connect coupler seal, see Repair Manual group 21 Exhaust turbocharger, G-charger in ElsaWeb.

Tip: Oil in the charge air system is normal. After turning the engine OFF , oil will collect at the lowest point in the charge air system.
