Beginning C/W 09 of 2005: lock assembly has been optimized.
Service
Lubricate the contact surface around lock cylinder, where cylinder meets arm rest using Part No.G052142A2 as follows:
Tip: Lubricant Part No: G052142A2 is considered shop supply.
DO NOT apply lubricant into the cylinder.
- Using a small applicator, pack lubricant into gap (arrows) between the lock cylinder and the opening in the armrest for the lock cylinder as shown.
- Operate release handle several times.
- Ensure noise has been eliminated.
- Clean all excess lubricant from lock cylinder and release handle.
