Shift mechanism, 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T
The selector lever position is no longer transferred mechanically via selector lever cable and Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch F125 as with the automatic transmission. Selector lever positions or gear shifts are transferred via a separate control module in shift mechanism via CAN-Bus to transmission control module. Gear shift occurs without a cable as well. Only in selector lever position "P" is the parking lock selected mechanically via selector lever cable.
