Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

High-Mounted Brake Lamp (M25)

• If damaged, the entire High-mount Brake Lamp must be replaced.

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.


Do not operate brake pedal!

- Remove rear lid trim.






- Disengage connector - 2 - and disconnect it.

- Remove bolts - arrows B -.

- Push the catches of the right or left side - arrows A - inward and remove the high-mounted brake lamp from the rear lid.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Slide the groove located on High-mount Brake Lamp into guide in rear lid.

• When installing gasket, check for proper fitting.

Tightening specification, brake lamp to rear lid 2.5 Nm.
