1 Cap

• Check using the cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274) and adapter (V.A.G 1274/9).

• Test pressure 1.4...1.6 bar.

2 Expansion Tank

• Perform a leak test of the cooling system using the cooling system tester (V.A.G 1274) and adapter (V.A.G 1274/8).

• Depending on optional equipment, the connection may be sealed with a blanking plug.

3 Coolant Line

• To the thermostat housing.

4 Coolant Line

Vehicles with engine code BKW:

• To the auxiliary water heater.

Vehicles with engine code BWF:

• To the cooler for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).

5 Coolant Hose

• To the auxiliary water heater.

6 Coolant Hose

• From the heater core.

7 Upper Coolant Hose

• Secured to the radiator with a retaining clip.

• Make sure it is tight.

8 Lower Coolant Hose

• Secured to the radiator with a retaining clip.

• Make sure it is tight.
