HID Headlamps with Cornering Lamp Overview, From 12.06
• Check for possible influences upon the headlamp adjustment, check the adjustment itself, and if needed, adjust the headlamps. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
1 - Screws
• For mounting left/right HID lamp control modules to headlamp housing.
2 - Left High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J343) and Right High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J344)
• Left High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J343) and Right High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J344) is not capable of On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ HID Headlamp Control Module ] HID Headlamp Control Module.
3 - Bolt
• For mounting left or right headlamp power output module on bracket.
4 - Left Headlamp Power Output Stage (J667) or Right Headlamp Power Output Stage (J668)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Headlamp Power Output Stages ] Headlamp Power Output Stages.
• After installing a new headlamp power output stage, Headlamp range/cornering lamp control module (J745) must be coded, refer to=> [ Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module, Coding ] Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Coding and then basic setting of headlamps must be performed. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
5 - Left Cornering Lamp (L148) or Right Cornering Lamp (L149)
• Bulb H7 12V, 55 W
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Cornering Lamp Bulb ] Cornering Lamp Bulb.
• Checking, refer to => [ Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Output Diagnostic Test Mode.
6 - Left Front Turn Signal Light (M5) and Right Front Turn Signal Light (M7)
• Bulb 12V, PY 21 W
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Turn Signal Bulb ] Front Turn Signal Bulb.
• Checking, refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
7 - Lamp Socket With Grip
• For left front turn signal bulb (M5) and right front turn signal bulb (M7)

10 - High Intensity Gas Discharge Lamp (L13) and High Intensity Discharge Lamp (L14) ("Bi-Xenon")

11 - Left Parking Lamp (M1) and Right Parking Lamp (M3)
• Lamp 12V, W 5 W

• Checking, refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
12 - Headlamp
• Removing and installing, refer to=> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps
• Correcting installation position of headlamp, refer to=> [ HID Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position ] HID Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position.
• Perform a basic setting on the headlamp. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
13 - Screws
• for mounting headlamp mount on body.
• 5 Nm
14 - Headlamp Mount
• Removing and installing, refer to=> [ Headlamp Mount ] Headlamp Mount.
15 - Headlamp Range/Cornering Lamp Control Module (J745)
• Component location: at center under instrument panel.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Cornering Lamp And Headlamp Range Control Module ] Cornering Lamp And Headlamp Range Control Module (J745).
• Coding, refer to => [ Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module, Coding ] Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Coding.
• Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM), refer to => [ Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Output Diagnostic Test Mode.
• Perform a basic setting on the headlamp if the Headlamp range/cornering lamp control module (J745) was coded. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
- Left Headlamp Reflector Adjustment Solenoid (N395) and Right Headlamp Reflector Adjustment Solenoid (N396)
• Left Headlamp Reflector Adjustment Solenoid (N395) and Right Headlamp Reflector Adjustment Solenoid (N396) are located inside the headlamp and cannot be removed or adjusted.
• If a failure occurs, the entire headlamp must be replaced. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
• Checking, refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
- Left Swivel Module Position Sensor (G474) or Right Swivel Module Position Sensor (G475)
• Left Swivel Module Position Sensor (G474) and Right Swivel Module Position Sensor (G475) are located inside the headlamp and cannot be replaced or adjusted separately.
• If a failure occurs, the entire headlamp must be replaced. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
• Checking, refer to => [ Swivel Module Position Sensor, Checking ] Swivel Module Position Sensor, Checking.
- Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49).
• Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49) is located inside the headlamp and must not be replaced.
• If a failure occurs, the entire headlamp must be replaced. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
• Checking => [ Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Output Diagnostic Test Mode.
- Left Dynamic Cornering Light Motor (V318) or Right Dynamic Cornering Light Motor (V319)
• Left Dynamic Cornering Light Motor (V318) and Right Dynamic Cornering Light Motor (V319) is located inside the headlamp and must not be replaced.
• If a failure occurs, the entire headlamp must be replaced. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
