Roof Trim Lamps and Switches

Front Illuminated Vanity Mirror Light

The Front Passenger's Illuminated Vanity Mirror Light (W14)/Driver's Illuminated Vanity Mirror Light (W20) are removed and installed the same way so the procedure is only described for one of them.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409)

CAUTION!
Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

Remove ignition key.

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Carefully pry the Front Passenger's Illuminated Vanity Mirror Light out of the roof trim using the (VAS 3409).





- Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.





Bulb, replacing

- Press the Front Passenger's Illuminated Vanity Mirror Light contact plate - 1 - in the direction of the arrow and remove the soffit - 2 - from the socket.





- Replace bulb (12V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
