Optimization of carpet adhering process as of VIN: AJ_AM041609.

Service

Note:

Ensure vehicle is at room temperature before beginning repair.

1. Open all doors to ensure ventilation.

2. Apply protective covering to rear seat cover material.

3. Fold down seat back.

4. Using 3M Adhesive Remover and a clean towel, remove original adhesive from seat back frame and carpet backing (if needed).

5. Apply adhesive Part No. D 001 250 sparingly on both the carpet back and seat back frame surfaces.

6. Allow adhesive to set up for 10 minutes.

7. Carefully position carpet back over the seatback frame.

8. Using a plastic body filler spreader or equivalent, apply pressure working from the center outward, to the corners.

Note:
Ensure cleanliness and inspect carpet corners. DO NOT allow a visible glue line to form around corners or get glue residue on carpet.
