Fuel Level Sensor

• Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with changed fuel level sensor.

Old Version

Removing

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect connectors - arrows - and remove the electrical wires - 1, 2 and 3 -.





- Lift the retaining tabs - 4 - and - 5 - with a screwdriver and remove the fuel level sensor downward and off - arrow -.

Installing

- Insert the fuel level sensor into guides on the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

- Connect the electrical connectors and check for secure locking.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Service and Repair.

New Version

Removing

- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Service and Repair.

- Release the retaining tabs - arrows - with a screwdriver.





- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and upward simultaneously.





- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the electrical wire.

Installing

- Connect the electrical connector and check for secure locking.

- Insert the fuel level sensor into guide on the fuel delivery unit and press down until engagement.

- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to --> [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] Service and Repair.
