Sunshade Mounting (Hook) Loose or Missing

Technical Background





The self tapping screw (illustration 1, No.1) of the mounting (illustration 1, No.2) for the Sunshade has no tension and loosens because the door panel is not thick enough.

Service





Replace the self tapping screw (illustration 1-1.) with an expanding rivet N 911 935 01 (illustration 2-1). Reuse the existing mounting and hooks.

^ If necessary, remove the loose mounting for Sunshade.

^ Use a brush to seal off the edge of the hole in the door panel with anti-corrosion material (part number: ALN 002 003 10).

^ Fit the Sunshade mounting with an expanding rivet (part number: N 911 935 01) to the door.

^ Install hook into mount.

^ Cycle shade to ensure functionality.
