1 Cylinder block

2 Fitting pin
• not installed
3 Transmission side sealing flange
• with seal
• only replaced as complete unit

4 Bolt
• Tightening order => [ Transmission side sealing flange, tightening
sequence ]
5 Intermediate plate
• must be located on dowel sleeves
• do not damage or bend when doing assembly work
• Is hooked in at sealing flange => [ Installing intermediate plate ]
6 Bolt
• for dual-mass flywheel/drive plate
• 60 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) additional turn
• Replace
7 Dual-mass flywheel/drive plate
• Dual-mass flywheel, removing and installing => [ Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing and Installing ] Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing and Installing

• Only possible to install in one position - Bores are offset
8 Fitting pin

Transmission side sealing flange, tightening sequence
- Tighten the bolts - 1 through 8 - in the sequence shown:
- 1. Hand tighten the bolts
- 2. Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm
Installing intermediate plate
