Air Bag Deactivation Indicator: Service and Repair

Front Passenger Airbag -Disabled- Indicator Lamp (K145)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)


• Risk of airbag deployment!

• The airbag could deploy if the airbag unit is handled incorrectly.

• Follow all Safety Precautions when working with airbags.

• The front passenger airbag disabled indicator lamp is located in the center of the dash panel above the radio.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Attach the (VAS 3409) - 1 - underneath and in the center of the front passenger airbag disabled indicator lamp - 2 -.

- With a flat hand, hit the (VAS 3409) to release the indicator lamp bulb.






- Disconnect the harness connector - arrow - and remove the indicator lamp - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
