Signal Horns

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

High Tone Horn (H2) and Low Tone Horn (H7) are activated in parallel by Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).

Removal and installation for High Tone Horn (H2) and Low Tone Horn (H7) is performed in the same way and is only described for one signal horn.

The High Tone Horn (H7) / Low Tone Horn (H2) are installed on the left and right near the longitudinal members.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Remove front bumper cover.

- Disconnect electrical connection - 1 -.






- Remove the screw - arrow - and remove the horn - 2 - and its retaining plate.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

When installing the horn, make sure it is not touching any other components around it.

- Tighten the screws, retaining plate to longitudinal member, to 20 Nm.
