Vehicle Information

Condition

Instrument Cluster, Service Interval Displays Too Early

Oil service light appears prematurely in instrument cluster.

Technical Background

At the last service, the service interval display was incorrectly reset (Base 15.00).

The text in adaptation channels 42 and 43 may be incorrect. (Shows the multiplier is 1000km).

The actual multiplier is 100 km.

DO NOT change minimum value in channel 42, and the maximum value in channel 43, because of the wrong text (in 1000 km).

For example:
In adjustment channel 43, if you change 300 to 30, this would mean that the display will come on after 3000 km instead of 30000 km.

This leads to an unnecessary workshop visit, where the values will need to be corrected.
