CAMPAIGN LISTS

To assist you in identifying specific vehicles, we are providing a computer printout which lists all vehicles retailed by you which are affected. If a printout is not attached, then according to our records, none of the affected vehicles were wholesaled to your dealership.

Note:

Should you have a vehicle listed in dealer stock which has recently been retailed, it is your responsibility to contact the owner and request the vehicle be returned for repair.

COMPLETED CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABELS

Enclosed with this bulletin is a supply of "Campaign Labels" approximately equal to the number of vehicles on the "Dealer Campaign List". THESE LABELS ARE TO BE USED TO IDENTIFY CAMPAIGN 44 ONLY.

After Recall Campaign 44 has been carried out, complete the label by entering your Dealer Code, Repair Date, and Repair Code (use a ball-point pen), and affix the label to the driver's door as illustrated in the diagram below. Should you require additional labels, please contact your Volvo District Office.
OWNER NOTIFICATION

Owners of Vehicles within the VIN range will be notified directly by Volvo. On or about February 2, 1987, a letter explaining the campaign action and a vehicle campaign claim will be provided.

Dealers are requested to follow up with owners who have not responded to Volvo's Recall Campaign Notice by May 1, 1987 in an effort to correct the remaining vehicles.

REIMBURSEMENT

Two repair codes will be applicable to this action.
