Malfunction Test 4

Fig. 9 Checking wire between frequency valve & terminal 15:

1. Disconnect electrical connector at frequency valve and check if voltage is available at one of the terminals in connector. If voltage is available, proceed to step 2. If not, perform ``Malfunction Test 5.''
2. If resistance of frequency valve is not 2-3 ohms, replace valve.
3. Connect electrical connector at frequency valve, then turn ignition switch to ``Off'' position and disconnect electrical connector at electronic control module.
4. Turn ignition switch to ``On'' position.
5. Check for voltage at terminal 15, Fig. 9. If there is no voltage, repair frequency valve wiring. If there is voltage, check electronic control module by substituting known good module.
6. Turn ignition switch to ``Off'' position, then connect electrical connector at electronic control module.
7. Perform ``System Test.''
