Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

On some late model vehicles, an auxiliary fuel pump, located in the fuel tank, is used to supplement the main pump.

The main fuel pump may be located on the left side of the fuel tank, or attached to a bracket under the rear seat.
1. Clamp off the tank to pump hose with suitable pliers. Disconnect fuel lines from pump.
2. Disconnect wire connector from pump.
3. Remove pump retaining bolts and remove the pump.
