Fig. 1 LH-Jetronic II fuel injection system:

The system relay (9), Fig. 1, provides the control unit and air mass meter with current. The control unit senses battery voltage through the system relay.
The fuel pump relay (15), provides current to the injectors, fuel pump, tank pump and air control valve.
