Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments

Adjusting The Throttle Position (TP) Switch




Turn the TP switch anti-clockwise until it clicks and then continue turning until it stops but no further. The throttle should not start to open, so hold it closed with a finger on the throttle disc. Hold the TP switch in this position and tighten the TP switch screws (1.6 Nm.)

Checking




-Open the throttle and check the gap between the throttle lever and adjustment screw with a feeler gauge.

With a 0.45 mm feeler gauge there should be no click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.

With a 0.15 mm feeler gauge there should be a click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.

-Connect TP switch connector.

-Continue with WD. Adjusting throttle mechanism.
