Checking the suppressor relay
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the suppressor relay.
Connect an ohmmeter between connector terminal 1 and GND.
The ohmmeter should read approx. 0 ohms.
If the reading is incorrect
^ check the GND point and its wiring for breaks in accordance with NA2. NA. Checking the Wiring
- Ignition off.
Connect an ohmmeter between terminal 3 on the connector and terminal 1 on one of the injectors.
The ohmmeter should read approx. 0 ohms.
If the reading is incorrect
^ check the wiring between terminal 3 and the injectors for breaks in accordance with NA2. NA. Checking the Wiring
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect all injectors and the cold start injector it there is one.
Connect an ohmmeter between terminals 3 and 1 on the connector. The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance.
If the reading is incorrect
^ check the wiring between terminal 3 and the injectors for grounding In accordance with NA3. NA. Checking the Wiring
- Ignition off.
Connect a voltmeter between terminals 4 and 1 on the connector.
The voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If the reading is incorrect
^ check the wiring between terminal 4 and the battery for breaks.
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between terminals 2 and 1 on the connector.
The voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If all readings are OK
^ try using a new suppressor relay.
If the reading is incorrect
^ check the wiring between terminal 2 on the suppressor relay and terminal 87/1 on the [1][2]system relay.
