Checking Resistance In Circuit to Pedal Sensor [EB1]
Checking Resistance In Circuit To Pedal Sensor
- Ignition off.
- Connect test box and check ground points as per JA. Connecting test box. Connecting Test Box [JA]
- Disconnect control module.
Connect an ohmmeter between #16 and #41 on test box.
With the pedal released (position 1 on pedal sensor), the ohmmeter should read 224-274 Ohms. When the pedal is depressed, resistance increases, see table. Positions 5 and 6 should be hard to reach. Position 7 should be impossible to reach if the hydraulic braking system is working OK.
Move the pedal sensor connector slightly during readings to see it there is any loose contact.
If readings are OK:
- Check pedal sensor markings EB6. Checking Pedal Sensor Markings [EB6]
If any reading is incorrect:
- Check pedal sensor resistance EB2. Checking Pedal Sensor Resistance [EB2]
