Checking For Rotation Sensor Circuit Short to Supply [EL21]

Checking For Rotation Sensor Circuit Short To Supply





- Ignition off.
- Connect combination relay 15-pin and 4-pin connector.
- Connect control module.
- Ignition on.

Connect a voltmeter between #49 and #1 on test box. Voltmeter should read approx. 1.6 V.

If reading is OK:
- Check signal from rotation sensor EL22. Checking Signal From Rotation Sensor [EL22]

If reading is incorrect:
- Check leads between pump motor and control module #31 and #49 for short to supply as per HA4. Short Circuit to Supply [HA4]

If the wiring is OK:
- Try another combination relay.
