Check diagnostic wire 4S

Ignition ON.






Check with voltmeter that the voltage between ground and hookup 2 in diagnostic hookup B is about 1OV. If the voltmeter does not register a reading: check ground and voltage to the control module as well as wire from hookup 2 in diagnostic hookup B to terminal 4S in control module plinth.






Remove cover from sockets and relays in the engine compartment. Remove cruise control control module.






Attach ohmmeter between hookup 2 on diagnostic hookup B and terminal 48 on the control module plinth. The ohmmeter should display approx. 0 ohm.

Attach ohmmeter between ground and terminal 3S on the control module plinth. Ohmmeter should display approx. 0 ohm.

Ignition ON






Voltmeter attached between ground and terminal 1S on control module base should display battery voltage.

If any of the measurements deviate; check fuse 28 and all the leads and hookups very carefully.
If all the measurements are correct, check with another control module.
