Fault Tracing Diagnostic Test Sequence (Start Here)

Fault tracing

If it is not possible to engage the cruise control system or if it disengages involuntarily, perform the checks in the proper sequence as set down below.

Diagnostic Test Mode 2
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-1-3 Voltage feed to 9T
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-3-1 SET+ to 4T
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-1-3 SET- to 8T
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-2-3 Resume button to ST
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-2-3 Transmission shift lever switch to 3T
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-3-2 Brake light circuit to 6S
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 3-1-1 Too many input signals simultaneously

Diagnostic Test Mode 1

Road testing note: After the road test the ignition must NOT be turned OFF as any trouble codes in diagnostic test mode 1 and disengagement reasons in diagnostic test mode 5 will then be erased.


Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-1-1 No faults have been discovered. The speed has exceeded 35km/h (22mph)
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-1-2 Abnormal speed signal
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-2-2 Speed has not exceeded 35 km/h, alternatively no speed signal
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-1-1 Internal malfunction in control module
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-1-2 Fault in circuit to vacuum pump or regulator
Check of speed signal

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-1-4 Safety disengagement
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-4-1 Disengagement, transmission shift lever switch
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 4-1-1 Disengagement, pedal valves selector switch OFF
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-2-4 Disengagement, brake light circuit
