Heating System

Components:

- 1. Heater
- 2. Thermostat
- 3. Radiator
- 4. Coolant reservoir
- As no heater valve is installed, there is a continuous flow of engine coolant through the heater.
- The heater pipes are connected by means of quick-release couplings (5).
- Cooling water to the heater goes via a bypass duct so that only some of the cooling water flow passes through the heater (about one-fifth).
- When the thermostat opens, some of the coolant runs via the radiator to the engine.
- At maximum, the air-conditioning system output is equivalent to about 8 KW.
- The O-rings for the pipe to the heater must always be replaced once the quick-release couplings have been opened.
