Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair

Removal:





- Turn the ignition off.
- Remove cigarette lighter.
- Remove screws on back of cigarette lighter compartment.
- Remove cigarette lighter compartment, pull back carefully.
- Remove undo connector to cigarette lighter compartment.
- Remove bulb from cigarette lighter module bulb-holder.





- Turn cigarette lighter compartment and twist bulb-holder backwards and forwards while pulling it upwards to remove it from bulb-holder.





- Undo catch pin on one side of light lead while prying cigarette lighter compartment towards the screwdriver.
- Carefully remove cigarette lighter module.

Installation:





- Install bulb-holder in socket.
- Install socket (check that pins lock).
- Install cigarette lighter unit (check that plate flap on inside of cigarette lighter unit locks onto socket).





- Connect cigarette lighter connector.
- Install cigarette lighter compartment. Fit guide pins in front in first then push down cigarette lighter compartment at back.
- Install cigarette lighter compartment screws.
- Install cigarette lighter
