Condition
If voltage in the circuit is low (0 V) for over 10 seconds, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-213 is stored.

Possible source

Voltage too low
- Short circuit to ground in the SRS ignition cable or connectors between steering wheel module and SRS sensor module.
- Short-circuit to ground in the steering wheel module.
- Short-circuit to ground in the contact reel.

Fault symptom[s]
- No symptoms apart from the SRS warning lamp coming on.

Warning! There is a risk that the steering wheel module will not work if this DTC is stored.

Warning! Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non deployed steering wheel module. This could deploy the airbag!
