Surface treatment methods
Three different methods of surface treatment are used for the body parts:
- electrolytic galvanizing
- hot-dip galvanizing
- hot-dip zinc coating
The method used in a particular instance will depend on the location of the component in the car. The part may be treated on both sides or on one side only. A special method is used to treat external components, which must be provided with a fine, smooth surface.
