Outer Sealing Strip

CHH11 Removal of Outer Sealing Strip, Hood Cover:





- Move [1][2]hood to the position shown in the image. If necessary, remove hood cover as described in CHN1 - CHN4, Hood Cover Replacement. Service and Repair





- Pull strip upwards.
- If strip sticks it can be warmed carefully using a hot air gun.

CAUTION: Material in hood cover is made from glass fibre reinforced plastic. Warm it carefully.

- Remove sealing strip.

CHH12 Installation of Outer Sealing Strip, Hood Cover:
- Use the removed strip if possible. Remove old tape and replace with new.
- Press strip firmly against hood cover while pulling off protective cover from back of strip.

CAUTION: The surface to which the strip has to be glued must be tree of dirt and grease. Both strip and vehicle should be at room temperature.
