Replacement of Complete Hood (Convertible Top)

CHQ1 Removal of Complete [1][2]Hood Unit:
Before starting work, see CHA. Preparations Before Work.





Move [1][2]hood to the position shown in the image and set side windows to lowest position.

Remove:
- rear seat.
- rear side panels.
- 5 screws from cover plate with rubber strip, rear side windows.





- Move [1][2]hood to the position shown in the image and turn ignition off.
- Make a note of any radio code.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.





Disconnect 2 connectors from wire harness and from [1][2]hood.





Remove 3 screws as shown in the image.

NOTE:
- Shims can be installed at screw positions.
- Two persons are needed to lift [1][2]hood unit.

Carefully lift [1][2]hood unit. Make sure hood unit is completely free during lift.

CHQ2 Installation of Complete [1][2]Hood Unit:
Install in reverse order.
