Volvo Scan Tool (System Tester)

General

The Volvo Scan Tool (System Tester) and memory modules are used to communicate with the various control modules in the car. By connecting the Volvo Scan Tool (System Tester) to the DLC in the car, it is possible to read off and erase DTCs, activate components and functions, read off input and output signals, reset functions etc.

Connecting Volvo Scan Tool (System Tester)






- Ignition off
- Install memory module
- Connect the Scan Tool (System Tester) leads to the DLC in the console in front of the gearshift lever
- Ignition on
- Switch power to Volvo Scan Tool (System Tester) on
- Select language, model and function group
- Select system
- Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST to read off and erase DTCs, activate components and functions and test the injection pump and EGR system.
