Fault tracing information
There are two different types of instrument cluster:
- VDO
- Yazaki
See for identification.
Only instrument cluster of the type VDO is microprocessor-based and has a built-in diagnostics system and functions for communication.
Is the instrument cluster of the type VDO?
Yes - Erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
No - Exit fault-tracing

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) not stored earlier
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have probably been stored during repair work.
Check that all connectors and components have been correctly connected.
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored earlier
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have probably been stored during incorrectly performed repair work
Check that fault-tracing has been carried out correctly according to the relevant fault-tracing instructions.
It is possible to interrupt or make a new attempt to erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Do you want to repeat attempt?
