Drain holes, rocker panels

1
Preparation

Lift up vehicle to gain access to all holes in the rocker panels.

2
Use a Reamer or a similar tool

Use a reamer, e.g., tire reamer, or similar tool with a shank no thicker than 5.0 mm (3/16") maximum.

3

Warning! Do not use a hand or power drill or paint work may chip.

4
Reaming out drain holes

Warning! The paint work on the edge of the hole and around the hole MUST NOT be damaged in any way. Ensure the reamer is inserted in the center of the hole at a 45 degree angle, and the hole is enlarged, from the center, to a final diameter of 5.0 mm (3/16").

The reamer MUST be inserted in the center of the hole.

Slowly move the reamer up and down, simultaneously twisting it to enlarge the hole to 5.0 mm (3/16").

5
Checking holes

Check to ensure that all holes have been opened up.

6
Rust protection

Spray a light coat of rust inhibitor in all holes, ensuring rust inhibitor is not blocking the holes.

Wipe off any excess rust inhibitor from rocker panels.
