DTC EFI-112

Trouble Code Conditions
- Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-112 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects a fault in the ROM/EPROM memory circuits, the engine control module temperature sensor circuit, knock control circuit (zero test, short term fuel trim test) or engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor circuit NTC switch.

Substitute value(s)
- Fault in the ROM/EPROM memory circuit, engine control module temperature sensor circuit:
- No substitution value.
- Temperature sensor engine coolant fan low-speed.

- Fault in knock control circuit (zero test, short term fuel trim test):
- Ignition advance reduced for safety reasons

- Fault in engine coolant temperature sensor circuit NTC switch:
- When the engine is started a substitute value of +20'C is assumed, after the engine is started a value of +83'C is assumed.
- The engine cooling fan starts running at low speed.
- Idle air trim adaptation disabled.
- Long-term fuel trim disabled.

Possible source(s)
- Fault in engine control module ROM/EPROM circuits
- Fault in engine control module temperature sensor circuit
- Fault in engine control module knock control circuit
- Fault in engine control module engine coolant temperature sensor circuit (NTC switch).

Fault symptom(s)
- None
