DTC EFI-355

3-5-5 MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR SIGNAL





Condition

The Engine Control Module (ECM) compares the signal from the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor with the signal from the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) EFI-355 is stored if outside temperature exceeds -7°C (19.4°F), the car is lower than 2,400 meters above sea level, Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) exceeds +80°C (176°F) and Engine Speed (RPM) exceeds 1,800 rpm and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and throttle position (TP) sensor signals do not correspond for 19 seconds.

NOTE! Not during active boost pressure control.

- Defective mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- Defective throttle position (TP) sensor.
