Condition





If the control module registers that the signal from the wheel signal is absent and there is a break or short-circuit in the circuit, then post DTC ABS-313 or ABS-314 depending on the wheel sensor

Substitute value

- ABS/TRACS-system is disconnected.
- EBD-system is available.

Possible source

- Break in the signal cable (+) - or signal cable (-)
- Signal cable (+) or signal cable (-) short-circuited to ground or power.
- Signal leads short-circuited to each other.
- Defective wheel sensor
- Contact resistance in the connections

Fault symptom[s]

- When the ABS system is disconnected, there is a risk of the wheels locking when braking.
- In vehicles with TRACS, the anti-wheel-spin system cuts out.
- If there is a fault in both front wheel sensors at the same time, the speed will not be indicated on the instrument panel.

Caution! If the fault is intermittent, the ABS warning light will only go out when the speed exceeds 20 km/h (12,5 mph) in the next drive cycle.
