Checking connectors and wiring
- Ignition off.
- Check control module connector A for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module A17 and ground.
Test for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- To access / replace the ECC control module.
- The air conditioning (A/C) system switches to manual control and the equalizer sound changes when the soft-top is opened

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Soft top roof in raised position.
- Read off the status of the air conditioning (A/C) system signal.
The status should be active in the raised position
