Note! If diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CI-112 or CI-113 is stored start fault-tracing according to this diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) because it will probably solve the fault




- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it as a stand alone tool and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
- Ignition on.
Read off diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counter and make a note of the value.

Is counter value greater than 0?

Yes - Faulty signa. Intermittent fault

No - Replacing component

Try a new fuel level sensor according to
- Replacing sensor Replacing Sensor.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Connect fuel level sensor connector.
- Ignition on.
- Go into scrolling values and read off unattenuated fuel level.
- Tip fuel level sensor to different positions.





Does the unattenuated fuel level value change?

Yes - Reinstalling components

No - No Fault Found

- Ignition off.
- Install fuel level sensor according to Replacing sensor Replacing Sensor.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.

- Tip it in different directions and check whether the float sticks.
- Replace sticking fuel level sensor.
