- Gear selector in neutral.
- Lift up the front suspension so that both front wheels are hanging free.
Warning! In cars with AWD, lift up the car so that all wheels are hanging free.
- Ignition on.
- Go into rolling values.
- Turn the front wheel so that the speed exceeds 2kph for at least 2 seconds and read off the 48-pulse vehicle speed signal status
Is the status OK displayed?

No - Checking for a short-circuit to supply voltage
