Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 2-1-2 is stored if the control module detects abnormal signals in the vacuum pump or regulator circuits.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in cables between control module and vacuum pump/ regulator.
- Short-circuit to ground or voltage in cables between the control module and the vacuum pump/regulator.
- Defective vacuum pump or regulator.
- Contact resistance in terminals.

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not engage.
- Cruise control disengages while the car is being driven.
