EFI-1X5 Injector X

Checking injector








- Ignition off.
- Disconnect injector.
Connect an ohmmeter between injector connector terminals 1 and 2.









The ohmmeter should read approximately 16 ohms at 20°C.

OK - Check cable between injector terminal 2 and engine control module (ECM) #A10 (EFI-115), #A38 (EFI-125), #A24 (EFI-135), #A23 (EFI-145), #A9 (EFI-155) for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Then continue with Verification.

Not OK - Try a new injector. Then continue with Verification.
Replacing component

- 1. Activating injector 1 (EFI-115).
- 2. Activating injector 2 (EFI-125).
- 3. Activating injector 3 (EFI-135).
- 4. Activating injector 4 (EFI-145).
- 5. Activating injector 5 (EFI-155).

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:




- Ignition on.




- Select Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to activate injector.
- The injector should click when it is activated.

Is the injector working?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:




- Ignition on.




- Select Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to activate injector.

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
