Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-416 is stored if there is a short-circuit to ground in the cable between the AW 50-42 transmission control module (TCM) and the Motronic 4.4 engine control module (ECM) when the ignition is switched on and engine speed is 0 rpm.

Fault symptom[s]
Poorer performance at engine speeds below 3.000 rpm, due to continuous boost pressure reduction.
