- Ignition OFF.
Select scrolling values and read off the value from potentiometer 2.
Use the control button and adjust backrest angle.
The value for potentiometer 2 should only be affected when the backrest is adjusted. The backrest should stop when the button is released.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

- Reinstall components, connectors etc.
- Connect up seat in car.

The fault is probably due to a relay in the control module temporarily sticking in the closed position and then opening correctly. If the fault persists after verification, try a new control module in accordance with Control module, replace Control Module.
