Checking the connector and cable
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect combined instrument panel connector B.
- Disconnect the control module.
Check the control module connector and combined instrument panel connector B for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Connect an ohmmeter between combined instrument panel 3 and control module 30. Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module 30 and ground. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Remedy as necessary.
